Hot on the heels of the Documentary intensive workshop, the ADMA commenced its most ambitious 3D workshops yet. A select number of students are learning Character Animation and Advanced Modelling for Production with Joel Foster and Romain Côte respectively. The goal is to have several groups of trained asset creators and animators who could collaborate on productions.
The Character Animation workshop will introduce participants to the principles of animation, train them how to collect and analyse reference videos and give them a chance to explore both realistic and stylised types of motion.
For the Advanced Modelling for Production class, students will complete a set of progressively complex exercises that will show them how to create realistic 3D scenes as well as characters. The workshops conclude at the end of December. Mr. Foster and Mr. Côte recently concluded work on films such as The Amazing Spiderman, Alice in Wonderland, Despicable Me and The Great Gatsby.
