TRAINING RWANDANS FOR THE DIGITAL AGE

TRAINING RWANDANS FOR THE DIGITAL AGE

Africa Digital Media Academy is a vocational training school in Kigali, Rwanda. We provide students with skills in 3D computer graphics, animation, motion capture and video production and more so they can work in all areas of the digital media industry.

ADMA Video Production Over Weekend

This past weekend, ADMA students worked on two projects for clients.

The first was a promo video using our greenscreen for Kigali Kids Championship (KKC), a nonprofit organization created to provide activities and opportunities for young people in Rwanda. The students set up all the lights and the ADMA cameras to capture the footage for the video. The final edit will used to call out young talents to take part and to advocate for the importance of kid’s recreational and educational programs.

The second was video coverage by ADMA students of the Reading for Change 8th Edition and the launch of a new program called “Inspired to Inspire” at the Kigali Public Library.

ADMA Students Form Their Own Independent Animation Studio

A small group of ADMA students, who learned animation on previous ADMA cartoons projects such as "Children and Birds", have now started their own animation studio and are already publishing content.

This video here is the first short cartoon from Funafrica Studios!

Wakozi neza!

The ADMA students who created the above animation learned these skills with instructor Alfred Muchilwa, animating in OpenToonz with asset creation in Illustrator/Photoshop, and gained valuable experience on the ADMA project “Children and Birds”, which you can see here.

You will see a lot of common names in the credits of both videos!
